Tropical Fly Fishing offers very exiting and exclusive fly fishing trips to St Joseph, Astove, Cosmoledo, Provendence and Farquhar, the most southern islands of the Seychelles onboard on an ocean mothership. This trip is ideal for groups of min 4 persons, but single or double bookings are also welcome.
Tropical Fly Fishing use for these attols various local outfitters who have safe, luxurious and comfortable yachts and catamarans. These attols have a reputation as perhaps the best Bonefishing & Trevally destination in the world ! Only a handful of anglers have wet their flies in these extremely rich waters. These islands are absolutely virgin and loaded with Big Bonefish and Trevally. All the fishing will be unguided and guides, and the crew will assist you if necessary. Guides will bring you with small boats to the flats of the lagoons and assist you with catching Bonefish and other species like Trevally, Pompano and Barracuda.
On the FLATS of the these atolls you can expect recordsized Bonefish, Indian Ocean Permit, Queenfish, Trevally, large Barracuda, Groupers, Snappers and Triggerfish.
These attols are the home of HUGE GIANT TREVALLY (50 to 80 Lbs +). Record hunters will have the possibility to put their name in the IGFA record book, but they have to be prepared with a 12 - 14 weight rod, high quality saltwater large reel with at least 300 meters of 40/50 lbs backing and suitable leaders. These huge fish will only eat BIG flies!
Out on the BLUE and near the reefs, the teasing, drifting and chumming method will be use to targeted fish like Groupers, Snappers, Jobfish, but also Tuna, Sailfish, Dorado, Rainbow Runner and Wahoo.
Tropical Fly Fishing is able to book your accommodation at Mahé if necessary. Luggage is sticktly limited to 55 Lb per person (charter plane limits) and soft luggage is mandatory.
St Joseph, Amirantes Atoll
Bonefish are abundant. This is perhaps the best place to catch Indian Ocean Permit, excellent reef fishing as well as fly fishing for Trevally Species. Boat can be used also for Big Game as well as Little Big Game.
Farquhar Atoll
Bonefish are abundant but larger as at St Joseph.Large Giant Trevally on the fly is also possible. Bluefin Trevally, Jobfish and some Indian Ocean Permit are also present. Blue water Fishing is excellent and yields many Jobfish, Yellowfin and Dogtooth tuna, Wahoo, Dorado and even Sailfish.
Cosmoledo & Astove, Provindence Atoll
Large Bonefish, Giant and Bluefin Trevally can be found on this destination. Trevallies can be caught even from the beaches. Excellent blue water fishing is available. Both atolls are still virgin.
